Sadly I've had a bit of a dry spell lately (along with very little spare time) in ideas for photo-manipulations. But hopefully that will change soon.

I'm working tech support for the second largest ISP in Norway. I have yet to have a cup holder call, but some come really close.

We are providing an anti-virus product called F-secure. And customers call us for support on this. I got a call a few days ago from a very frustrated and hysteric lady, during the installation of F-secure she was told to unplug the cable and now the program was telling her that it could not contact the authentication server because it is unable to connect to the internet. I calmly ask her: So you unplugged the cable and now the program can't connect to the internet. She answers, even more stressed and hysterical than before: This was supposed to be so simple, but obviously it isn't and goes on a huge rant on how horrible our support is and how difficult everything is to use and how it's our fault. I ask her again: So the program is trying to connect to the internet, you unplugged the cable, and now it can't connect to the internet? Customer: Yes, I regret buying such a difficult program, this was supposed to be so easy to install. And she keeps going on and on about this.

Me: Have you tried to connect the cable. Customer: are you sure I can do that. Me: Try. Customer: Now it's working, did you do something.

Me: Sigh...

Sorry I haven't had the time or energy to do much on here. I put in as much overtime at work as I'm allowed to, and in addition to that the gaming portal I now run is demanding a bit of work. I'm building a new server we are also working on some other development that I can't go public with yet. I went to Liverpool to visit a friend last weekend. First vacation I've had since I started working again after disney. Did me good to get away from things a bit. I got my camera back too, repaired and everything. Hopefully I'll find time to start using it again. Though this means I won't buy an SLR any time soon and when I do it will be when the D300 comes as a kit. We'll see. I also finished reading Notes from underground, and it's scary how much I see myself in that book. I fear I some day will end up as bitter and angry as the I character. Though Dostoevsky makes many valid points there which I find all too true about myself.


Most likely I'll do one more stamp on this account, then I'll go through all my old photographs for my photo account and for the stock account I help run and somewhere along the line find time for new photographs / manipulations. Sadly though work has first priority, then the gaming community I run and if there is any time left this place.

I'm sort of back, having no projects I'm working on here at the moment, finished my opera tutorial and made a few stamps but nothing big. Not because of a lack of projects, but more a lack of willpower to start anything.

I'm still buried with work, but I'll try to get some more stuff together here, I need to start working with something again. It's been too long since I submitted a project rather than a 5 minute or 5 hour job.

I've also recently discovered Akeboshi. An amazingly charming, relaxing japanese musician. Perfect music to relax and work to. Naruto-otakus might allready know him from wind and yellow moon as they were ending themes.


There will be more stuff uploaded to this account, but the next point on my to-do-list is to finish my gallery guide that I promised someone ages ago

I'm still unsure what I'm going to do next for this account, hopefully I can get around to starting the actual writing process for the next chapter of awi-girl and smeghead rather than just brainstorming.

But since I finished a few small projects here I think I'm going to rework a few old shots over on my photo-account
Going to liverpool to see a friend toward the end of the month and after I come back from there I'll most likely buy a D40x to replace my E8800 which sadly died on me. But thats just until the D300 comes as a kit and I can get together enough money to buy it.

Though I might do the gallery guide first, I've put it off for far too long. Though it seems most of the people who watch me have moved on or do other things, which means I need to pick up the pace to deserve more comments. And I think I'm overusing the word though. Though maybe it's just my imagination.

If I find the inspiration for it I'm hoping to do something along the lines of Coin operated boy v2.0

Though I need something to spark me off in the right direction. Dunno, whenever I try to make something without anything behind it it ends up half-finished, or not really good.

And just to confirm it, yes, it's all true. The word though and I have married in a secret ceremony held under water just outside Sealand. We spent our honeymoon soldering fish together. It was very romantic.

I'm on my way back, currently working on a "tutorial" of sorts which encompasses my favourite functions in my favourite web browser Opera

Sadly I'm buried with work these days, but I still belong to the night and the night belongs to me. So I'll take that time to work on getting my account here in shape.

I'm a bit unsure of where to go and what to do though, I know there is a lot of work on my photo account that requires my attention. There is a lot of stuff in scraps there that deserve a place in the gallery once I've given them a few hours of work. But certainly for this account the next step after the gallery guide will be another episode of awi-girl and smeghead. Allready have a few ideas, the next chapter will be darker and will not feature awi-girl. Only reason for that is that I think the smeghead character needs more development and that I wanted to paint a blacker picture (and I can't really do that with awi-girl). So I'll think the next chapter will be the past of smeghead and up to the present. Kind of "the empire strikes back" meets the start of "a new hope". Though after that I'm not sure what I'll do, I don't think I'll do more poetry. It wasn't really for me. What I want to do is more in the same style as Coin operated boy v2.0 though I had a lot of fun making this kind of stuff So I might just do one or two of those untill i can find a clear a direction.
